SynBase was built by the Stanford iGEM team to make synthetic biology education accessible to anyone, anywhere. This curriculum walks from the basics of bioengineering and iGEM through the biology, engineering applications, and design process behind real synthetic biology projects — self-paced, free, and no background required. Completing it unlocks application to the Stanford iGEM Bioengineering Research Program (SiBRP), a free summer program for high schoolers and incoming college freshmen.
